Admont Monastry
Our excursion will take us by coach to the Benedictine Monastery of Admont, about 110 km north of Graz, at the foot of the Alps. The monastery houses 26 monks who are mostly engaged in parish duties in the 27 parishes incorporated into the abbey.
Admont is best known for its magnificent baroque library which attracts many thousands of visitors every year. The recently renovated abbey also houses a beautiful museum including a growing collection of modern art.
